I made this photo on a crisp November morning in Seattle. The sun came out early in the day and I decided to drive to the waterfront.

I like the way a few things came together in this moment: the play of light on the sculpture, the boat just beneath it, and the way the person stretching mirrors the sculpture.

If you look closely, you'll see that the lines that frame the boat are in the shape of sails.
