This was taken about 10 years ago. I was just getting started and made this photo as a young photographer in Seattle. It was one of the first photos I liked enough to make into a postcard to send to friends and prospective clients.

It shows a child's nature, the way they do things simply because they are fun.

People see a mischievious little girl in this photo. I see that too, but mostly I remember the drizzly day in Issaquah, and the feeling that there was nothing more Adelin wanted to do than play in the puddles. She's exuberant.
