I made this photo at the courts where I often play tennis. It was made with a Holga camera, a $25 plastic camera that shoots film. It's very "old school" and very easy to use. No batteries, no flash, you just aim it and push a button, then wind the film for the next shot. Because
the camera's lens is just plastic, things in the middle are more in focus and
the edges are kind of blurry. This camera also makes pictures that are dark in
the corners. The result is photos that are non-technical, imperfect, and for this
reason they have character. I like the shadow. |
