I was walking on the bridge that links Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts when I saw this skull pass beneath.

I like the ripples, the circles where the oars have been, the way you can tell that in a moment the oars will once again pierce the water.

The tones are good in this photo - it has very bright whites, some deep blacks and a lot of gray in-between.
