This is a really good picture of sisters.

The entire photo shoot was up to them. Parents tend to involve themselves to varying degrees in the way I photograph their kids. Early on I get a read on whether they will tell me what kind of photos they want, or if they will leave it up to me to direct things.

In this case I was given freedom to photograph any way I liked. I passed the directorial torch on to the girls and the results were wonderful. I got some photos of them doing their cheerleading number, throwing a baseball, and running around in the backyard.

For this picture, I asked them if we could do a group photo. They got together quickly and with little effort, and in 20 years they will be able to look at this photo and see the picture they made many years earlier.
